Triosh3 play a mixture of original compositons and improvised material. Probably best described as experimental, ambient, post grunge, lyrical, punk jazz, all of the material is a basis for improvising — we take it apart and embark on a unique journey, different every time.
Steve Howlett is the founder of Triosh, plays guitar and is probably best known as an award winning sculptor and wood turner. He played with many jazz & rock groups in west Wales, including with Damo Suzuki (former singer with Can) and Nik Turner (ex Hawkwind). In 2005 he formed a duo with world renowned improvising genius and jazz vocalist Maggie Nicols and again with Maggie Nicols formed the quartet Dynamite Dream. In 2007 he formed Triosh which lasted to 2011. He was also part of the acoustic rock quartet Kubris 2019 - 2022 and currently plays with the jazz quartet, Frantasmagoria. In 2023, with Niall Ross, he re-formed Triosh as Triosh3. And here we are...

"It’s like a story, it’s like a world story"
"It conjured so many pictures in my head"
"Why can't we hear music like this on Spotify?"
"I didn’t like it at first but when you discard your preconceived idea of what music is or should be, it was amazing!"
